Alshalina Boyd was born and raised in Long Beach California. She developed a passion for dance at the age of 6 years old. Alshalina received her Associate Degree in Dance/Performance Arts at Compton Community College and then transferred to Cal State Dominguez Hills to finish her Bachelor’s Degree. She is trained in several styles of dance including Jazz, Lyrical, Modern and Contemporary dance.
Alshalina enjoys cultural dance as well and has experience in Dancehall, West African and Afro-Caribbean dance. She specializes in Limbo dance, fire limbo and fire eating. She is a current member of Caribbean Joy Dance Group and a former member of Caribbean Jems Dance Entertainment Showcase and Caribbean Spectacular Dance Group. She has 15 years of experience in this genre of dance. She enjoys travel and cultural exchanges.
